Why We Don't Offer Cash on Delivery

we apologize, but we do not offer the most popular payment option you love and are looking for.

We tried every possible way but we are unable to offer Cash on Delivery as lots of customers just order for their fun. Due to that, we face lots of burden on our shipping.

 

It isn’t that we never offered the same, but rather we have discontinued it. Would you like to know why we did it? Just continue reading:

 

We abide by the vision of our venerated Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, who is promoting India to become a less cash economy, and our effort is just a token of support to him in his initiative.

Further, there are other reasons as well, but to understand them better we should know these things initially.
 

Why a customer prefers the COD option?

It is a perception that while opting for the COD (Cash On Delivery) option, the customer pays only after the order is received, in a way one can say that “the money leaves the wallet only after the order is in hands” but in actual it never happens, as the customer pays to the delivery boy in advance before opening the packet (Or else he won’t let him open it). So, in a way, you are not paying it after, as assumed.

 

'So, what if there are some issues with the Cash on Delivery facility, at least our order reaches us. With online payments, we don't get any guarantee'.

 

Now you may wonder... What if you pay online and we don't send your order?

Firstly - That will be counterproductive to our business and goodwill. We grow as a company only if you appreciate what we sell and come back for newer products, isn't it?

Secondly - Even with Cash on Delivery, there is no way you can ensure that the specific product you ordered is in the parcel the courier boy is holding. Bad news, if something else comes out. So, it’s entirely trust-based.

 

There were situations of exchanges/ returns

As the awesome courier folks who help in shipping your packages, pay the cash to us which they receive from you only after weeks of receiving it, literally weeks, leaving us in a less ideal situation if any exchange/return issue comes up with the order.

But, with 'Online payment' options we receive the amount in days (Via the payment gateways) and we can process your Refund/Exchange as fast as within 48 hrs if any such issue comes up.

 

COD Cancelation (Cash on Delivery - Order Return)

In a case of a return/cancellation of any COD preferred parcels, the courier company delivers the parcel back to us, well the story doesn’t end here as the courier company charges us for both-way shipping. So, in a way, we incurred a total loss as we never sold the product and paid just for its delivery apart from the man hours consumed in addition to it the wastage of several resources like packaging material and papers used for billing and labels apart from the other formalities.

So, if we provide you COD (as we were earlier doing) it ends up in an unnecessary increase in the prices of the products, whose burden is ultimately borne by the customer.

So, to make this virtual increase nullify and to transfer the entire benefit to the customer, we preferred to opt out of this easy-looking facility.

 

We hope that you understand the effects of COD and would also like to contribute towards a less cash economy as endeavored by our beloved Prime Minister.
